I am not sure if you ladies ever ran into this video but if you ever get upset or disappointed at the amount of pay teachers make, watch this video. This video is inspirational because it brings us back to the nature of why we are going into this profession- for the students.

ReplyDeleteThis particular piece was one of the first spoken word poems I encountered when I came to college and it had that resonating effect that many teaching related works have had since I first started considering going into teaching, it's one of the pieces that helped to confirm my path :) Have you seen Mali's other pieces? I particularly enjoy Like You Know? and The The Impotence of Proofreading- both rather englishy though I wouldn't dare share the latter with students,much as I might want to :P
